A Day in A Life

The weather has been hot and humid most mornings and wet in the evening. Not particularly a favorite type of weather – usually makes kids sick – runny nose, coughing and all that.  I get sick too.

So this was how a day in my life looked like the day before.

I thought I’d never get the time to post these!  A late entry but enjoy 🙂

My Neighborhood

Around the neighborhood in 60 minutes or less!

Took the opportunity to take these snapshots using my iphone during my stroll (brisk walk actually)this evening. Nothing spectacular so I thought but somehow my neighborhood looks different in pictures!  I see more details too …I mean, the garbage bin of my neighbor from around the corner is uniquely cute (see picture)  🙂 Read more

Home

Every road leads home”

This week’s theme sounds rather easy and shouldn’t have been difficult.  I’ve come across many articles about Home; most of them convey a somewhat similar message that home is where the heart is. Read more

Illumination

“Most new discoveries are suddenly-seen things that were always there. A new idea is a light that illuminates presences which simply had no form before the light fell on them.” — Susan Langer

“…. everything is illuminated in the light of the past. It is always along the side of us, on the inside, looking out.” (extracted from — www.imdb.com)

Pictures taken during blackouts as in electricity power supply being suddenly cut off!  The kids enjoy these blackouts the most. They’d run about looking for their torch-light, gazing at candle lights, etc. Fun for the kids, not for me especially if it’s a prolonged one without any valid reasons like extreme weather i.e. storm, raining cats and dogs!
